County Assessing Pilot & S458

- C.118 PL 2009 established a pilot program in Gloucester County,
transferring municipal tax assessment function to county through
appointment of a county assessor and deputy county assessors.
- Senate Bill 458 proproses to require the holding of binding
Statewide referendum by county on whether responsibility for
certain municipal functions should be assumed by county
government; repeals various sections of law concerning transfer
or termination of employees of terminated local health agency.
